‘Ewiger kohl’, German for ‘everlasting cabbage’ and a name which probably covers a whole host of long lived perennial cabbage/kales rather than a variety. These have been grown from cuttings snipped from plants in the forest garden at Schumacher college, Devon ( we did ask first!). Their plants are large and unruly specimens with fairly light green leaves. They do have a long lived perennial habit, will observe ours and see how they evolve.
