Description
Sorrel ‘Belleville’ ( Rumex acetosa) is a lovely hardy perennial sorrel which can be used as an early salad leaf as it’s up and away before the annual crops are ready. The leaves are pale green and tender and grow in clumps and are very low maintenance. It can be used in salads or cooked in sauces and soups, is a great companion to potatoes and fish. A good sharp lemon flavour, leave it to do its thing – all you have to do is eat it and enjoy. Clumps can be divided in autumn to propagate more plants.
