Allium unifolium

Allium unifolium or one-leaved onion is a hardy perennial,compact clump forming variety. Dark green leaves with lilac pink star shaped flowers. Strong onion/garlic scent. Bulbs, young shoots and leaves and flowers are edible. Use in salads or as a garnish. Loved by bees and other beneficial insects. Here it is growing between the branches of a Daubenton kale.
