Purple Tree collard

Purple Tree collards are long lived perennial brassicas with deep purple leaves. Plants can grow more than 2 metres tall and need to be staked as they have a long central stem and a bushy head of loose leaves. There are tales of them living for more than 20 years. They can be easily propagated through stem cuttings which root really rapidly. They are generally pest free, very resistant to cabbage whites and whitefly.
