Description
Siberian purslane – Claytonia sibirica (Montia sibirica). Is a short lived very hardy perennial ( to -35c) which also self sows and can create a good ground cover. It reaches 20 cm high in a any moist soil in sun or part or full shade. The leaves are edible, lovely in salads with a beet leaf flavour. It also has very pretty flowers which range from white to light pink.
